Eine umgedrehte Qualle, die nicht nur gelernt hat, sich am Meeresboden zu befestigen und ein hartes, kalkhaltiges Kalksteinskelett abzuscheiden, sondern \u00fcber Millionen von Jahren Mieter rekrutiert hat.\r\n\r\nSymbiotische Algen, sogenannte Zooxanthellen, leben im Gewebe der Koralle. Sie photosynthetisieren Sonnenlicht, wodurch Zucker entstehen, von denen sich die Korallen ern\u00e4hren. Es will nicht, aber es muss, damit es kurzfristig \u00fcberleben kann.\r\n\r\nDadurch wird die Koralle wei\u00df. Wenn die Wassertemperatur in einigen Wochen abk\u00fchlt, kehren die Algen zur\u00fcck.Wenn die Temperatur jedoch hoch bleibt, bleibt die Korallenbleiche bestehen und die Korallen sterben href=\"https:\/\/www.thefunkyturtle.com\/de\/koh-tao\/\">Koh Tao<\/a> erlebten wir 2010 ein schweres Bleichereignis.\r\n\r\nTeile der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefunkyturtle.com\/de\/snorkeling-koh-tao\/shark-bay\/\">Shark Bay<\/a> haben sich von diesem Ereignis nicht erholt, wie in Bereichen der Bucht selbst zu sehen ist.\r\n\r\nSeitdem hat ein Gro\u00dfteil der Korallenriffe der Welt ein weit verbreitetes Bleichen erfahren, wobei zwischen 2015 und 2017 ein globales Massenbleichereignis aufgezeichnet wurde.\r\n\r\nW\u00e4hrend dieses Bleichereignisses war Koh Tao im Vergleich zu anderen Regionen der Welt relativ unber\u00fchrt und wir hoffen, dass wir lange Zeit kein weiteres Ereignis sehen Bleichereignissen besteht die Herausforderung darin, dass Korallenriffen gen\u00fcgend Zeit zur Erholung einger\u00e4umt wird.\r\n\r\nEine Reihe anderer Faktoren, einschlie\u00dflich Wasserverschmutzung und Krankheit, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefunkyturtle.com\/de\/conservation\/marine-conservation\/\">k\u00f6nnen Korallen ebenfalls reizen<\/a> und dazu f\u00fchren, dass sie die Zooxanthellen absto\u00dfen.\r\n\r\nEs braucht nur einen anhaltenden Anstieg der Wassertemperatur um 1 \u00b0 C \u00fcber dem Durchschnitt, um die Korallenriffe zu st\u00f6ren, was dazu f\u00fchren
