Il ne veut pas, mais il doit le faire pour pouvoir survivre \u00e0 court terme.\r\n\r\nCela fait que le corail devient blanc. Si la temp\u00e9rature de l&rsquo;eau se refroidit en quelques semaines, les algues reviendront. Cependant, si la temp\u00e9rature reste \u00e9lev\u00e9e, le blanchissement des coraux persistera et les coraux mourront.\r\n\r\nDes recherches ont montr\u00e9 que les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefunkyturtle.com\/conservation\/marine-conservation\/coral-watch\/\">r\u00e9cifs coralliens<\/a> sont particuli\u00e8rement sensibles aux augmentations de la temp\u00e9rature des oc\u00e9ans et que les \u00e9v\u00e9nements de blanchissement se produisent plus r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement au cours des 20 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es et \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle beaucoup plus href=\"https:\/\/coralreefwatch.noaa.gov\/product\/50km\/southeastasia.php?fbclid=IwAR3UKYkY_vOgAmLS0BzNUKfgnYBxuBXl8NbQDrdMf3cwm-TY2acgeLzJC-U#TaoIsland_Thailand\">subi un grave blanchissement<\/a> en 2010.\r\n\r\nCertaines parties de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefunkyturtle.com\/snorkeling-koh-tao\/shark-bay\/\">Shark Bay<\/a> ne se sont pas remises de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, comme on peut le voir dans certaines zones de la baie elle-m\u00eame.\r\n\r\nDepuis lors, une grande partie des r\u00e9cifs coralliens du monde ont subi un blanchissement g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9, un \u00e9v\u00e9nement mondial de blanchiment de masse ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9 entre 2015 et 2017.\r\n\r\nLors de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement de blanchiment, Koh Tao a \u00e9t\u00e9 relativement peu affect\u00e9e par rapport \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres r\u00e9gions du monde et nous esp\u00e9rons ne pas voir un autre \u00e9v\u00e9nement pendant longtemps.\r\n\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_4700\"
